Malpua Recipe | How To Make Malpua at Home

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oil or Ghee
  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 2 tbsp Mawa
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 6 Half crushed Pepper corn
  • Saunf / Fennel seeds (as required)
  • 1 pinch Salt

✓ For syrup

  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Water (or as needed)
  • 2 Cardamoms

Instructions

Making the Batter

  • In a bowl add 1 cup of milk and khoya till it is smooth then add saunf, crushed Pepper corn, sugar, salt and mix well.Then add the flour and mix untill there are no lumps. Keep mixing the mixture till it becomes smooth and set aside till you make the sugar syrup.

Making the Syrup

  • To prepare sugar syrup, add sugar and water in a pan and allow the sugar to melt and cook it for 10-12 minutes over low medium flame. Add the cardamoms and turn off heat. Set aside.

Frying

  • Melt ghee in pan , Put on low heat for a while then pour the batter in center of the pan without spreading it and giving it a nice uniform shape. It'll spread on its own. Then flip it over and cook again till it's edges starts getting red. Then dunk them in the prepared sugar syrup for a min or two. Then take out the Malpuas and serve them hot on a plate and enjoy with you family ❤️
